Adult Classes
Basic (level 1)
Basic classes are ideal for those who are newer to yoga or for those who are looking to take an in-depth look at the foundations of poses. With a focus on holding poses and addressing proper body alignment, Basic classes emphasize quieting the mind, as well as developing strength, flexibility and ease in the body.
Basic Flow (level 2)
Bridging the gap between Basic and Flow, this class integrates the fundamentals of foundation found in a Basics class and incorporates the vinyasa fluidity and energy of a Flow class. This class is great for anyone seeking to branch out from Basics or strengthening their alignment in Flow.
Dynamic Flow (level 3/4)
An energetic vinyasa yoga class infused with eclectic movement and heat building sequences. Strength-building asanas (postures) are creatively fused wiht rhythmic sequences to open the body and nourish the spirit. Class includes advanced inversions, backbends, binds and arm balances. Designed for those who seek a mind/body/spirit experience that is deep, invigorating and life affirming! Room temperature is 80-87 degrees. Previous yoga experience is encouraged.
Flow (Level 3)
A more vigorous-paced, active class which links poses together with the breath by combining sequences through fluid movements called vinyasa. The vinysasa movements generate heat through the body, ideal for those looking for a more physical and mental challenge. Inversions, arm balances, and backbends are incorporated into this sweaty, high energy class. Room temperature is set to 78-85 degrees. Previous yoga experience is encouraged.
Flow for Athletes
This flow class is structured like our traditional flow classes with a focus on opening the large muscle groups and joints of the body. Athletes and non-athletes are welcome! Be on time as doors lock at 6:15 am! Watch a clip of this class featured on Fox 10 here. This class will be back in the fall.
Heart of Yoga
A basic yoga class designed especially for those new to yoga, or anyone who wants to build upon their foundational knowledge of yoga postures, breath work and meditation techniques. Infused with a sprinkling of yoga philosophy, expect to leave class feeling refreshed, relaxed and inspired. This class is held at the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Online registration is required to attend.
Intro to Yoga
This class is designed to introduce the fundamentals of a basic yoga class in a very nurturing environment. Instruction in the basic understanding of breathing (pranayama), sun salutations and poses (asanas), alignment, standing and seated postures will be emphasized. The next FREE class is offered on Sunday, September 19 from 2:00-3:00. Please email us to reserve your spot, as registration is required.
Morning Cup of Yoga
Start your morning off right with this energizing all levels flow class. Awaken your body and mind in this class designed to promote flexibility, strength and balance, leaving you ready to take charge of your day. Rise and shine from the inside out with Zenergy Yoga, but be sure to arrive on time as doors lock promptly at 6:15 am!
Partner Yoga
Partner yoga can be practiced with a friend, relative or significant other. This class welcomes partners of different sizes, levels and flexibility and serves as an opportunity in learning to work with different body types. In Partner Yoga, you will assist one another in going deeper into certain asanas (poses), and guide each other using fundamental concepts of alignment. The practice will also involve supporting one another in poses to develop trust and cultivate sensitivity when working with others. This class is offered as a specialty class a couple of times throughout the year.
Pre/Postnatal
Prepare for and recover from the birth of your baby and help alleviate pregnancy-related discomforts by practicing gentle, modified yoga poses and breathing exercises. This class is designed to increase flexibility, stamina, strength and body awareness, preparing the body for labor. Breathing techniques are also taught to aid the child birth process. This is a wonderful opportunity for women to connect with other new/pregnant mothers experiencing this wonderful life experience of motherhood. Appropriate at all levels and stages of pregnancy. Class is held weekly on Sundays from 12:00-1:15 pm.
Yin
A passive, yet deep practice that works to open the body slowly with grounding postures and long holds. Expect to leave class feeling expansive, relaxed and revitalized. All levels are welcome.
Yin and Yang
A balanced practice beginning with an hour of yin to open the body in deep, yet passive postures with long holds followed by an hour of vinyasa flow (yang) to strengthen, tone and sweat. This class is offered as a special treat to our students once a month from 5:00-7:00 pm. No additional fees to attend this two hours of bliss. Next classes are September 19 and October 17.

Children’s Classes
Baby and Me
Bring baby along as you connect with other new moms and dads and help your body recover from birth and the strains of carrying and nursing a newborn. An active and gentle yoga class designed to strengthen the bond between caregiver and child. This class also gives the caregiver time to practice yoga poses that involve and entertain the baby. Come for the exercise, the fun and the supportive community. Babies from birth to crawling are welcomed with smiles. No prior yoga experience necessary. Class offered on Tuesdays from 11:15-12:15 pm.
Kids Yoga
Ages 3-10
This class incorporates activities for all ages and developmental levels. Yoga games, poses and activities are explored during this engaging and active yoga class (children must be potty trained). Class meets Mondays and Fridays at 4:00. An adult class is offered at the same time. Only $5 per class.
Playtime Yoga
Ages 3-5
This class teaches children how to capture their boundless energy and use it to build healthy minds and bodies. Through different playful themes (jungle, ocean, farm, alphabet, etc.), participants will learn strategies to calm the mind, increase flexibility, coordination and balance. Children will practice using mindfulness activities through breathwork, relaxation exercises and physical poses that help keep the mind calm, while building confidence and self-esteem. (Parent participation is not required; children must be potty trained.) Please email us when your child is available for class (days of week and times that work best and age of child)
Prana Power Kids Yoga
Ages 7-9
The power of prana (the breath) come to play in this class. Cooperative games, including partner poses, themed activities, music, and art engage the natural energy and enthusiasm of this age group. These classes advance the practice of breathwork and relaxation through more advanced yoga poses and relaxation exercises. Fun yoga postures and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions that carry into everyday lives. Prana Power Kids offers students the opportunity to build strength, flexibility, coordination, confidence and mindful concentration, in a positive, non-competitive environment. Classes will resume in Spring 2010. Registration is required. We are taking input on our Spring class schedule. Teen/Tween Yoga
Ages 10-16
This program is designed to work with the expanding minds and maturing bodies of this age group. Independent and cooperative activities are offered to stimulate the physical strength, self-esteem and emotional balance of adolescence. Classes integrate traditional yoga poses, flowing sequences, relaxation, and self-reflection. Participants will be exposed to more physically challenging yoga poses and flow sequences that challenge the unique needs of each individual. Group discussions and valuable peer activities create a positive atmosphere that supports self-confidence and body appreciation in a non-competitive environment. Relaxation and breathing exercises are used to promote overall balance and concentration, which can be applied to academic, athletic, and social situations. Yoga is also a great form of exercise for athletes, promoting flexibility and decreasing risk for injury.

Family
Here's a unique way to spend quality time with your family in this engaging yoga class. Come and try this yoga class designed for moms, dads, sons and daughters. The class will introduce basic yoga postures and includes partner poses and activities to do with your child. It's yoga fun for the whole family. For ages 6 and up.
